Salamanders, and fish, and guppies, oh my!

Joanna and Ed Rogers visited the Inn last week with a Girls' Camp. Joanna loves things that creep, crawl and fly. She brought an aquarium with three chrysalises-- one that hatch while they were here. This little guy pictured took quite a bit of time for Joanna to get into a net-- a Tiger Salamander or "Potato" Salamander, named such because they especially prefer to live in the muddy, dark water of Idaho's irrigation canals. About 6" long, this one loves living in the Inn's trout pond. The trout and guppies in the pond don't seem to mind his setting up house there too.
