Since 2015 when we bought the Inn, guests have thought the small building adjacent to the Lodge was a bunkhouse. Beginning April 2022, it will become a beautiful bunkhouse that sleeps 6-7. With finishes reminiscent of Adirondack Camp style, it will be called “The Bunkie,” a term used widely in Canada and sometimes the eastern U.S.
The Bunkie will have an antler chandelier and anter deck lamp, wood floors, ceilings and walls, air conditioning and heat, comfy bed and bath linens, custom birch-bark framed campy artwork,
a small fridge with cold bottled water, and real Old Hickory twin bunks (four twins) plus a luscious Old Hickory queen bed. Whether reserved by a family or a couple, The Bunkie will be a very comfortable stay.
Per many requests, The Bunkie will still have its custom-made metal mascot "PIG' that proudly announces the building, with easy adjacent parking on the Bunkie Pad. The Bunkie is immediately adjacent to The Lodge, and will first be available to incoming family reunions and groups who have booked The Lodge-- these guests can use the half-bath just a few steps away through the side door of The Lodge, plus they will use the Loo-uvre Shower House. Note: Guests who have solely reserved The Bunkie will use the Loo-uvre Restroom and Shower House.
With a campy feel and sleeping six to seven very comfortably, you'll LOVE The Bunkie.
